This book concluded with a quote that encapsulates the entire book for me:
"And that’s the great thing about the world of ideas—any of us, with the right insight and the right message, can make an idea stick"
It doesn't matter how charismatic, how well-spoken, how confident or how popular you are if your ideas don't follow on the traits discussed in this book, they will never stick.
The principles or traits of sticky ideas are as follows: Simple, Unexpected, Concrete, Credible, Emotional and Stories. Together, they form the clever name of "The SUCCESs". They can be used as a checklist for any new idea you have. The more principles that apply to it, the more power it will gain. If you manage to check the six traits, be sure that your idea will be stickier than superglue.
The book was a quick and fun read. It was Simple, full of Unexpected anecdotes that made the ideas of the book more Concrete and Credible. There were also some Emotional Stories that further drove everything home.
