Synopsis

Patti Smith's "M Train" invites readers into her daily ritual at a small Greenwich Village cafe, a space for reflection on life, art, and memory. The memoir expands to encompass travels to significant places, from Frida Kahlo's home to an explorer's society meeting, all while contemplating the profound impact of loss and the creative spirit. Smith shares personal memories, including her life with her late husband, Fred Sonic Smith, and includes her own black-and-white photographs.
