Synopsis

Twelve-year-old Luka Khalifa sets out to save his father, the storyteller Rashid, who has fallen into a sleep from which he cannot wake. Guided by a shape-shifting companion called Nobodaddy, Luka must travel through the World of Magic to steal the Fire of Life, crossing a landscape that behaves like the levels of a video game — with lives to lose, checkpoints to save, and dangers that escalate the deeper he goes.
