Lucky Alan and Other Stories

This collection of short stories finds the strange and unsettling in the most ordinary places. A father's breakdown at SeaWorld, a political prisoner in a hole in a Brooklyn street, and forgotten comic book heroes on a desert island are just a few of the scenarios explored. These stories are funny, sad, and deeply human, showcasing a signature style that blends the absurd with the real. Each tale examines the desperate and often failing ways people try to connect.
