Synopsis

Mathilda, obsessed with the 'Bright Young Things' of the 1920s, discovers a photograph of the forgotten Black modernist poet Hermia Druitt. Transfixed, Mathilda travels to a peculiar artists' residency in Dun, a European town where Hermia once lived. Her search for answers about Hermia pulls her into a web of secrets and secret societies, challenging her aesthetic ideals and guiding her toward a convoluted truth.
