Lost Empire is a fast, adventure-heavy thriller that throws you straight into the action and rarely lets up. It has the kind of globe-trotting energy, danger, and puzzle-solving that fans of Cussler usually come for, and it moves with real momentum. The story is entertaining because it doesn’t waste time, there’s always another twist, another chase, or another mystery. It may not be subtle, but it’s exactly the kind of book that works when you want a pure escapist read.
