Synopsis

The Wishing World did not stay closed. It keeps leaking into Earth, and Lorelei — now in sixth grade — has to live with the consequences arriving in the middle of an ordinary life.

The Ink King has taken friends and family and remade them into hostile wizards, which means the people she most wants back are the people now trying to stop her. What is left to her is thin: a companion named Squeak, and the Fire Princess.

The only direction she is given is three words she does not understand — be the Loremaster. Working out what a Loremaster actually is turns out to be the whole problem, and the only way to reach the people she has lost before the damage to reality goes any further.
