Synopsis

As Beverly Donofrio approaches her fortieth birthday, she finds herself in a period of deep personal reflection, grappling with past neglect of her son and uncertainty about her life's direction. Feeling lost, she begins to meditate and collect Virgin Mary figurines, initially viewing them as mere kitsch. However, this act of creating a shrine in her home unexpectedly opens her to a profound spiritual connection with the Virgin Mary, transforming her perspective and guiding her through her personal 'dark wood.
