Synopsis
Niall's never known anything but betrayal. All Mat wants is Niall's heart; what will it take for Mat to coax Niall in from the cold? Their connection is tenuous, one step forward and two steps back — since a night on the beach, Niall's been avoiding Mat like a bad case of the flu, which, ironically, most of the sheriff's deputies have actually caught.
Mat is overworked, Niall is unnerved, and then things go sideways for real. A killer is loose on the island, and Niall and Mat will have to figure out whether they're stronger together than apart before it costs them everything.
Long Shadow is a dual-POV continuation of the same couple's story from the Veiled Intentions series, pairing small-town romantic suspense with a slow-building second-chance connection.
