I really liked this story, I really did, but I also expected more.

I LOVED the first half of the book, and I feel like the story had the potential for more in the second half, but sometimes, it almost felt rushed.

Everything aside, I enjoyed the book, it was unpredictable for the most part, and the characters were well-written and developed. I liked the ending too, even though I expected something else - but I agree with what the author (his wife, actually) points out in this regard in the Acknowledgements.
