Synopsis

Eight years after the events of Shorefall, Sancia, Clef and Berenice are losing a scriving war against an intelligence that has spread across the world and turned the technology of scriving on human minds themselves. To have any chance of stopping it, they must uncover where scriving came from in the first place, carry out a perilous mission deep into enemy territory, and pull off the most ambitious heist of their lives — all while a betrayal takes shape inside their own ranks.

Robert Jackson Bennett closes the Founders Trilogy by pushing its scale past anything in Foundryside or Shorefall: from picking warehouse locks on a Tevanni dock to floating cities, immortal hierophants, and a door that could rewrite reality or end it outright.
