More fast paced than it's previous two books, but still fitting. Jake (MMC) is local pd fulltime and part-time superman. Natalie (FMC) is trying to keep her life at a minimum while she and her mother navigate their current circumstances. Unfortunately, Natalie is caught up in an armed robbery at one of her jobs and needs someone to rescue her- in more ways than one.

I am really disappointed with the fact that this had a plot hole that is never resolved- the suspect for the armed robbery is never apprehended. Never confronted. No court date. No arrest. I wish that would have had some sort of conclusion. Maybe it's in a later book of the series and I just haven't read that yet?

I really enjoy that each book reunites previous characters and provides minimal updates. It's just enough to have me eager to read the next book. This book has a smidge more spice than the others so far. But, it's nothing beyond passionate kissing and desire for one another. This series is amazing 🩷
