Synopsis

Sutton and Ethan Montclair built a life on lies. Both writers, both consumed by professional rivalry, betrayal and money trouble, they love and hate each other in roughly equal measure. Then Sutton disappears, leaving behind only a note asking that no one come looking for her.

The police investigate. Ethan becomes the target of speculation, and the private history of the marriage is dragged into public view. Is Ethan responsible? Is he being framed? Did Sutton's own despair lead somewhere worse? J.T. Ellison's 2017 standalone thriller answers those questions through an intricate web of secrets and accounts that cannot all be true.
