Synopsis

In 1930s Mississippi, the Logan family, black landowners in a prejudiced town, faces constant struggles. Told through the eyes of young Cassie, this story follows the family as they navigate poverty, racial injustice, and the changing world around them. When a friend is wrongly accused of murder, and their own land is threatened, the Logans must find strength and resilience to protect what truly matters.
