Last One Alive

Last One Alive
Synopsis
Seventeen months after the Parkman case, Dr Emily Hartford is back in Chicago finishing her surgical residency and trying to leave Freeport behind. Then Solange McClelland contacts her out of the blue.
Solange is the only survivor of a triple homicide that wiped out her family a decade ago, and on her thirtieth birthday she has opened a long-forgotten safe-deposit box. Inside are relics of a childhood she barely remembers — and almost four million dollars, enough to fund the investigation the police gave up on. She wants Emily's forensic eye on it.
The deeper the two women dig into the old case, the clearer it becomes that whoever murdered the McClellands has been living comfortably ever since, and would rather not be found. Last One Alive is the third of Jennifer Graeser Dornbush's Coroner's Daughter mysteries.
