Lakeview House
Looking for somewhere to disappear, a woman fleeing an abusive relationship accepts a live-in caretaker position at Lakeview House, an isolated property that has stood empty for decades. It is meant to be a refuge: quiet, cheap and far from the man she left, with room enough to finally finish writing.
The house has other ideas. Locals avoid it, its history is uglier than she was told, and the longer she stays the harder it becomes to explain what she hears at night — or to be sure that whatever happened here is safely in the past.
Lakeview House is a standalone psychological thriller with a gothic streak, previously published as What Lies Below.
