Synopsis

Max's grandmother, a former celebrated dancer, now rules a refugee home with an iron fist, fiercely protecting her grandson from the new world. She rails against German society, its sweets, and its people, oblivious to her husband's growing affection for someone else. What seems like an ending for other families is just the beginning for Max and his grandparents, as they navigate the complexities of a blended family.
