Synopsis

Gwen Choi just wants a normal spring break in Seoul, a distraction from the PSATs, debate team, and an on-again-off-again relationship. Instead, an impromptu detour drops her into the waters of Hanyang, Joseon, centuries removed from the Seoul she knew. The Joseon court isn't just silk dresses and princes: Gwen finds herself in the middle of dueling political factions, assassination plots, and a romance she didn't see coming. Monday Owusu's YA time-slip novel asks whether Gwen will embrace the family history she's rediscovering, or stay trapped in the past for good.
