Synopsis

Kolkataye Feluda is a Bengali anthology collecting the Calcutta-set adventures of Feluda, the detective created by filmmaker and author Satyajit Ray. First compiled in 1998 by Ananda Publishers, it brings together stories in which Feluda (Pradosh Chandra Mitter) cracks his mysteries entirely within the city.

Narrated by his teenage cousin Topshe and frequently joined by the comic crime-novelist Jatayu, the stories are prized for fair-play deduction, everyday Calcutta atmosphere, and a gentle humour that suits younger and adult readers alike.

Originally serialised in the Bengali magazines Sandesh and Desh across the 1960s to 1990s, these tales are among the most enduring works of Indian detective fiction and the basis for numerous film and television adaptations.
