Synopsis

Sixteen-year-old Tyler Wingo has been told his father, a soldier, was killed in action in Afghanistan — and then receives a message that suggests otherwise. In David Baldacci's King and Maxwell (2013), the sixth and final novel in the King & Maxwell series, Tyler hires former Secret Service agents Sean King and Michelle Maxwell to find out what really happened to his father, Sam Wingo, who stands accused of stealing sensitive military cargo during a covert operation.

Working the case for a client barely old enough to have hired them, King and Maxwell find themselves chasing a conspiracy far larger and more dangerous than a single soldier's disappearance — one that puts both investigators, and the boy who came to them for help, squarely in its path.
