A Killer Wedding
Christine Russo writes for Bespoke Weddings, and she has talked her way into the assignment of the year: covering Jane Murphy's marriage to Graham Ripton, a pediatric oncologist and heir to a family whose brand is quietly buckling under lawsuits and bad press. Her way in was Gloria Beaufort, Graham's maternal grandmother, whose good graces she has carefully cultivated.
Then Gloria turns up dead at the Ballymoon Castle Hotel — and nobody wants to call the police.
Stranded among the Riptons and their guests, Christine has to work out which of them is worth trusting: Raquel, the actress who may be sleeping with Trey; Maggie, the bride's mother, with a past of her own; Father Kenneth, the family priest, who seems to see straight through Graham's golden-boy surface. A debut mystery with the gloss of a society wedding and the manners of a closed-circle whodunit.
The journalist sent to cover the wedding for Bespoke Weddings magazine, hand-picked by Gloria herself — and increasingly sure she was chosen for a reason.
The groom — a doctor, and Gloria's favourite grandchild.
The bride: an outwardly unremarkable schoolteacher with a past of her own, and the person who finds the body.
The family matriarch and cosmetics-empire chief executive, found dead in her suite on the morning of the wedding.
Graham's older brother.
