Synopsis

Keepers of the Kalachakra is Ashwin Sanghi's 2018 mytho-scientific thriller and one of his loosely linked Bharat books. It opens with an assassination attempt on a visiting head of state and widens into a worldwide plot targeting spiritual and political figures, drawing physicist Vijay Sundaram into the orbit of a clandestine brotherhood devoted to the Kalachakra, the Vajrayana Buddhist concept of the wheel of time.

Moving across India, Tibet, Russia, Syria, China, and America, the novel runs several parallel storylines that fuse quantum theory, religious history, and realpolitik. Sanghi frames the science of time and causality against ancient Buddhist cosmology, building his signature blend of accelerating conspiracy and dense factual research.

Readers drawn to code-and-conspiracy thrillers rooted in Indian and Asian history will find a fast, idea-heavy adventure that treats mythology as a puzzle to be decoded.
