Kaleidoscope Hearts

Kaleidoscope Hearts opens Claire Contreras's Hearts series. Estelle "Elle" Reyes, a freelance glass artist, once shared a secret summer romance with Oliver, her older brother's best friend, before he disappeared from her life. She later builds a life with her fiancé Wyatt, opening a gallery together and settling into a shared future.

When Wyatt dies suddenly in a surfing accident, Elle is left to rebuild — a process she channels into her art, including the glass sculpture that gives the book its title. Oliver, Wyatt's brother, comes back into her orbit during her grief, and the unresolved feelings between them resurface alongside the guilt and confusion of loving her late fiancé's sibling.

The novel is a character-driven new adult romance about grief, art as a coping mechanism, and a forbidden second-chance connection between two people bound together by loss.
