Synopsis

Honoria Smythe-Smith, known to her chagrin as "Bug," is a terrible violinist and definitely not in love with her brother's best friend. Marcus Holroyd, the Earl of Chatteris, has his own set of problems, including a tendency for sprained ankles and a firm belief that he's not in love with his best friend's younger sister. Despite their initial reservations and a shared love for chocolate cake, they find themselves facing a deadly fever and a disastrous musical performance, all while falling desperately in love.

About the author

Julia Quinn is the pseudonym used by Julie Pottinger (born Julie Cotler), a best-selling American historical romance author, who says she chose her pseudonym so her Regency romances would be on bookshelves next to those of the successful romance writer Amanda Quick. Her novels have been translated into thirteen foreign languages, and she has appeared on the New York Times Bestseller List nine times.
