Ju-On: The Grudge
Ju-On: The Grudge follows the aftermath of a murder: when Kayako Saeki is stabbed to death by her husband in a fit of jealous rage, the hatred that killed her fixes itself permanently to the house where she died. Her young son Toshio, who watched it happen, vanishes into the same curse — and from then on, anyone who sets foot inside the house is marked to die, and to become part of the haunting themselves.
This manga adaptation of Takashi Shimizu's Ju-On franchise, illustrated by Miki Rinno, follows the family who unknowingly buys the cursed house and the people drawn into its orbit — among them Mizuho Tamura, daughter of the real estate agent who sold it, whose boyfriend disappears after bringing her there. True to the film series it adapts, the story is told out of chronological order, piecing together the house's history through each new victim's discovery of what came before.
