Fernando del Paso
Fernando del Paso (1935–2018) was a Mexican novelist, essayist, painter and diplomat, best known for long, experimental novels exploring Mexican history and culture: José Trigo (1966), Palinuro de México (1977) and Noticias del Imperio (1987). He studied economics at UNAM, spent fourteen years in London working for the BBC, and later served as a Mexican diplomat in Paris.
