While I liked this book, it was hard to make sense of it a lot of the time. Ellison's style changes about every 10 chapters, and it can be hard to grasp some things if you're not reading close enough (on that subject: the Golden Day is a brothel. It is not the asylum. The asylum patients are on a field trip.). However, it is intriguing, and I found afterward that I often feel invisible. It's a tough read, but I'd recommend it.
