A book that will make your heart race. Adrenaline will rush in your veins as you flip through the pages.
Even though this story is fictional, reading it really felt like it could happen "fifteen minutes" into America's future. It's really an eye-opener to everything happening in the world, things we choose to forget about, things we intentionally close our eyes and ears to what's going on around us.
This is the first activism book I've ever read and it surely did not disappoint. The place, the story, the characters felt too real. I felt every ounce of their frustration and despair as they were being holed up in the internment camp. I felt their rage and their rebellion. I cried when they cried too, I laughed at their sarcasm, I was scared for them, I was proud of their bravery and courage... Layla Amin is an inspirational icon.
