After a family tragedy, Katie Greene reluctantly moves to Shizuoka, Japan, feeling completely out of place. She struggles with the culture and language, but a mysterious connection forms with Tomohiro, a kendo star with a strange scar. Katie soon discovers Tomo's drawings come to life, revealing his link to ancient Japanese gods. As his powers grow unstable around her, they become targets, forcing Katie to fight for her survival in a country she never wanted to call home.
