Infinite Sacrifice

Infinite Sacrifice
Synopsis
Infinite Sacrifice opens L.E. Waters's Infinite series with Maya arriving in a peaceful place between life and death, where she is told she must review her past lives before she can move on to the afterlife or be sent back to live again. Guided by her spirit guide Zachariah, she plunges into four turbulent former selves: a sociopathic High Priest wielding power in ancient Egypt, an independent mother guarding a dangerous secret in Sparta, an Irish boy kidnapped and enslaved by Vikings, and a doctor's wife forced to take an ethical stand during a plague outbreak in England.
Each life forces Maya to confront a different kind of cruelty, courage, or complicity, building toward a larger question the series will keep returning to: what does she owe the people she was, and to who she is now?
