Synopsis

In 1865 Boston, a series of gruesome murders begins to plague the city, each crime seemingly inspired by the infernal circles of Dante Alighieri's "Inferno." A group of American poets, including Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, who are translating Dante's epic poem, find themselves drawn into the investigation. They must decipher the killer's literary clues before more lives are lost, all while grappling with their own secrets and the dark underbelly of their cultured society.
