I was a bit devastated with the second book but as I wanted to end all this Deanna Madden stuff I decided to read this book as well. And okay... this is better than the second book.
I love the plot and Deanna's character in here. It was thrilling and suspense, quite psychological and twisted. It was fast and straight-forward but so edgy and engaging it gave me so much curiosity and lots of guessing. I love the story-telling (still in love with the short chapters style) and how the author represents Deanna's personalities. So in love with Mike (again!)-- everyone needs a Mike in their life, honestly! He's so trustworthy and nice, I love how he decided to help Deanna and accept her as she is, no question asked.
It was bad for what had happened to Jeremy but the mystery-- it was fairly catchy and enthralling, I love the secretive and the unknown reality, how Deanna don't really remember, how Derek came and helped, Mike who knows when he should be bugging in, and Lily although only for a while she helped.
So much in love with the ending, I think it was the best for Deanna although I really wanted to know how Jeremy would react to her letter. Great characters' chemistry (suddenly I like the detectives as well), proper structure of plot and adequate disclosure. Giving it 4 stars!
