This book literally breathed autumn. From the cover to the synopsis and the small-town setting, it had everything I want from a cozy fall romance. π
I absolutely loved this book from beginning to end. I read it in one sitting and never once felt bored or found myself checking how many pages I had left. I was completely invested. π₯Ή
And the whole town gave me SUCH Gilmore Girls vibes⦠honestly, I want to live there
I also loved the contrast between Michelle and Cliff. Michelle is reserved, a perfectionist, and someone who struggles to connect with people, while Cliff is a divorced dad of two who is basically sunshine in human form, warm, funny, and incredibly easygoing. π€
And Cliff with his daughters??? π₯Ή His relationship with them was honestly one of my favorite parts. The whole story was so well written, and I loved that everything happened at the right pace. Nothing felt rushed, and the slow burn was done SO well.
If anything, I wanted even more of Michelle and Cliff because I just wasn't ready to leave them! π
And that final chapter from Rocket the dog's POV?! SO unexpected and genuinely adorable.
