Synopsis

Virginia and Felix Freer, a divorced but still-collaborative detective duo, reunite to solve their latest perplexing case. When Virginia's wealthy neighbor invites her troubled teenage cousin, Holly Noble, to stay, an unsettling atmosphere quickly develops. Holly's past, including a drug arrest, and her strange behavior around Felix raise suspicions, especially when she suddenly disappears, seemingly kidnapped. The mystery deepens as a famous writer's unusual concern for Holly comes to light, leaving Virginia and Felix to uncover the truth behind the girl's disappearance and the secrets held by those around her.
