It was such a joy to read Hafiz's poetry. His enthusiasm about life and God are evident in every vibrant word. I spaced the reading of the poems throughout several weeks, reading them at night so I would go to bed with a smile on my face. Hafiz was really drunk on life. His poems are so uplifting and genuine that they make you miss and want to recover the heightened emotions, especially of wonderment, of early childhood.
