Synopsis

Coriander's life takes an unexpected turn in 17th-century London when she finds a pair of magical silver shoes. After her mother's death and her father's remarriage to a strict Puritan, Coriander is left to face a cruel stepmother and a sinister preacher. Locked away for years, she discovers her mother's hidden past and a magical world, forcing her to confront an evil queen and a dangerous love to save her family and two realms.

Being dyslexic, she did not learn to read or write until she was fourteen and had been thrown out of several schools, labeled unteachable, and sent to a school for maladjusted children.
