Bit dense on the storytelling part, quite psychotic, quirky and tenseful with a mix of slow and fast moving structure; 10 ways of how to kill a guy meaning 10 crime scenes with 10 narratives and backstories for those guys to be fitted in this 370+ pages— I was already tempted on the thrills, also knowing how these guys were actually at fault and kind of deserving to be killed (was 50-50 on the evil and law-abiding me) it somehow intrigued me to further read on how it will go.\n\nMeet Millie Masters on her journey as M; an anonymous person behind Message M helpline made for women who feel unsafe walking home alone or need a safe ride at night. After what had happened to Katie, her sister who gets assaulted on a night out as well her own dark past, Millie became a bit aggressive and too eager in wiping out bad guys that the temptation to take the law into her own hands have become too much to resist.\n\nA vigilante for vengeance sort of, a capture of trauma, grief and hatred of one’s rage towards immorality and injustice. Bold, unhinged, quite spooky too. Ingenious for how it was told and plotted through a killer’s POV with that dark charms and dynamics of Millie. Her musings totally inviting at times I was so immersed in her plans that I wanted her to succeed in every scenes. Although most method of her killing looking so simple and too ordinary (idk if Millie was too lucky or those guys were too easy to die) I liked how it observed a reflective outlook on the disturbing harassment crime and its sinister impact. Friendship part was adorable; Nina esp was unexpected, loved how clever she goes at the end (was perplexed on how it actually worked?). Pitying James but he seriously adding a glimpse of fun and a twist to Millie’s narrative. \n\nI enjoyed it all in all.
