Synopsis

When Iris Hollow was a small child, she and her two older sisters vanished without a trace. A month later they reappeared in the same spot, unharmed but changed—with no memory of where they had been, strange new scars at the base of their throats, and an eerie beauty that draws people to them and unsettles everyone around them. The sisters grew up trying to outrun the mystery of their disappearance.

Now the eldest, Grey—a famous, magnetic fashion designer—has gone missing again, and Iris and her sister Vivi set out to find her. Their search pulls them into a dark, dreamlike world that has been waiting for them, forcing Iris to confront what really happened when they were taken and what the three of them truly are.

Krystal Sutherland's atmospheric young-adult novel blends horror, dark fantasy, and mystery into a gothic fairy tale about sisterhood, hunger, and the frightening pull of belonging. Strange and unsettling, it is not easily forgotten.
