House of Crimson Hearts

House of Crimson Hearts is the first book in Ruby Roe's Kingdom of Immortal Lovers series, a steamy sapphic vampire romance set in Sangui City.

Octavia Beaumont, one of the original three vampires, is determined to run the city. Red, an expert hunter, is hell-bent on revenge against the vampire who turned her sister. When the deadly trials for the heir of the city begin, Red and Octavia are forced to work together. Octavia wants a crown, Red wants blood, and there is only one first place.

Winning means trusting each other, and trust does not come easily to two people whose past is filled with betrayal, a betrayal Red cannot remember. Someone is lying. Someone has a secret. Everyone has a hidden agenda. The last thing either of them wants is to fall in love, but hearts remember even when the mind does not.

Three tasks, three choices, three sacrifices, each with a cruel price. To win the trials and take her revenge, Red will have to uncover a truth that will shatter them both.

Told across multiple points of view and two timelines. Explicit; intended for adult readers.
