Synopsis

Amalie Whitfield's wedding day ends in public humiliation when her new husband is caught cheating during the reception. In a moment of reckless desperation, she throws herself at the most attractive man in the room, and he turns her down. Determined not to waste the honeymoon she already paid for, Amalie heads off alone to a small island in the South Pacific to lick her wounds.

There, she runs into Lex Mills again, this time on the island for work rather than as a wedding guest. With no one from home watching, the two agree that whatever happens between them on the island stays on the island, but their attraction proves to be more than a fling, and neither can walk away as easily as they'd planned.

The second standalone entry in Helena Hunting's Shacking Up series, Hooking Up is a laugh-out-loud, steamy contemporary romantic comedy built on forced proximity, sharp banter and undeniable chemistry.
