Synopsis
On a rocky island at the edge of the world stands a lighthouse built to last forever. A keeper moves in, and for decades his life — marriage, sickness, shipwreck rescues, and the birth of a child — unfolds alongside it, each moment recorded in the logbook while the sea's constant "Hello!" echoes around him. When automation finally renders his role obsolete, he takes his family to a cottage on the mainland where they can still see the lighthouse shining.
