This book is my favorite in the first half of the series, I love it so much. The characters, the plot, everything - I know some people didn't enjoy it but I cannot even express how much I love it.

The introduction to Rowan is perfect and I love reading about his experiences with Celaena. You really see the evolution of their relationship as he finds out who she is under all the trauma she has experienced. It is then that you really get to understand how much she has gone through. The same can be said about Rowan, layer by layer he is stripped back and you understand why he is the way he is. Honestly, I cannot wait to read more.

Manon is one of my favourite characters, I love her spirit and love watching her grow. The bond she has with Abraxos is beautiful and is really interesting to read about.

The ending is so tense and really makes you immediately reach for the next book, needing to find out more and needing to know what happens next.

Overall, this book is amazing and I cannot express how much I love it.

These books keep getting better. I loved the new characters and the development of the old ones.

This stands out as my favorite book in the series thus far. It feels as though the author leveled up just as much as Celaena did with this book, displaying a newfound confidence in her storytelling.

One of the most impressive aspects of the book is Celaena's character arc. From the start where she was a petulant and apathetic figure, she undergoes a remarkable transformation, emerging as a fierce and unstoppable force of nature by the story's conclusion. I found myself cheering loudly for her growth and development throughout the book.

Additionally, I appreciated the way the relationship between Celaena and Rowan unfolded. Without delving into spoilers, it was refreshing to see such a dynamic and unconventional relationship portrayed in a genre often dominated by more traditional romantic narratives. Overall, "Heir of Fire" delivers a compelling and satisfying read that leaves me eagerly anticipating the next installment in the series.

Watching Celaena picking up her own pieces and slowly turning into her true self felt so raw.

This book is where the story changes to epic high fantasy !

We got new POVs (which I’m not yet a fan of ) and new characters in Wendlyn (which was fun to read).

The tension between Rowan and Celaena was the highlight of the book for me.

Almost every character has met their absolute limits which made Celaena, for example, becoming who she truly is.

It’s emotionally heavy and brilliantly paced !

And whaaaat an ending wow !! Hopping to the next book asap !!!!

This has been my favorite of the series so far!

One of the things I mentioned in the last book review was that it took forever to finally start and this one is completely the opposite, It started strong. I asked on the Internet when Rowan made his appearance and it said Queen of Shadows, and I was disappointed I had to read another book to finally meet him. So I was incredibly pleased to see him on page 13. THANK GOD.

Something that I must confess it’s that I really didn’t care for any other pov but Celaena’s at first. I was a bit upset with the new characters, mainly because I really wanted to stay in Wendlyn with Celaena and Rowan. Chaol and I don’t have a good relationship and his chapters were a hell to read, I was a bit unsure with Aedion, and Manon’s chapters were too slow at times, but once I started to pick up the pace with them I enjoyed the different places and new information each one brought to the story.

I was very excited about all the stories unfolding.

Chaol finally opened his eyes and realized he was a puppet to a tyrant, a bit late in my opinion, but I can at least stand him now. Manonis my favorite character now, I don’t know where her story it’s heading to but I’m very excited about her. I love to read about her coven, the thirteen and the wyverns. I’m in love with Abraxos. And I really hope Aedion gets to meet with her Queen. I absolutely loved Celaena and Rowan's interactions and their story was my favorite part.

The only reason I'm not giving it the five stars it’s because we had a step back in Celaena’s development at first. I started this immediately after Crown of Midnight and I did not understand how we went from the brave and determined Celaena, with all her plans to fulfill Nehemia’s promise, to the lazy, sad, unsure and disappointed Celaena. That’s my least favorite side of her, even though it helped develop her relationship with Rowan, it was an abrupt change.

And also the ending didn’t sit well with me, because of course I hate seeing Dorian suffering ( you better bring my boy back Sarah.) but also because he was left there when his magic could have been incredibly useful in the future.

Can’t wait to start the next one.

PD. I don't think I've stated this before but I don't like the covers, I have the original ones and I don't know why Celaena is blue. And the new ones feel too generic for me.

Took me a little longer to read because the beginning was a little slow and with so many different POVS of all the characters through me off a bit but about half way through I really got into it
