Synopsis

Newly married to a respectable but dull academic, Hedda Gabler finds herself trapped in a life of bourgeois mediocrity. Desperate for control and freedom in a society that severely limits women's agency, she begins to manipulate the lives of those around her. Her quiet struggle for independence soon spirals toward a devastating climax.
