I know I’m in the minority but I enjoyed the first book more than this one. I loved Summer but I found Willa to be juvenile. I was frustrated with Willa and Cade’s lack of communication regarding their insecurities, and there was a lot of internal monologue which I found boring.
In the first book, I looked forward to reading the texts between Summer and her dad and thought they were hilarious and sweet. In this book, half the texts between Willa and Cade revolved around her panty and whether she was or should be wearing one.
I also liked reading about Summer and Rhett’s relationship development and felt their characters had more depth, whereas Willa was just a “hot, young redhead” and Cade was just hot. This was your typical hot nanny and nothing about this storyline set it apart from other nanny books.
Luke was adorable, and I don’t typically like kids in books. I’m still very much looking forward to Sloane and Jasper’s story!
