🩸 Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone 🩸
Okay, I’m gonna be so real — this book was actually pretty good, but it just didn’t eat the way I wanted it to. 😭🕯️
The story and the whole magical world were genuinely cool, and the cover??? Absolutely gorgeous. ✨🖤 But somehow I wasn’t completely hooked. I kept waiting for that OMG I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT feeling, and it just wasn’t really there for me.
I think a big part of it is that I’m getting older, so the book feels more aimed at younger readers. If you’re younger or you’re a huge Harry Potter fan, though, I can totally see this being a 10/10 experience. 🪄
For me, it was more like: cute, magical, iconic… but not exactly my vampire-girl, dark-romance, “give me drama and let something insane happen” vibe. 🧛🏻♀️🩸
Still, I’d give it 9/10 because it’s honestly a really good choice as a first proper longer read. It’s easy to get into, the world is fun, and the story has a lot going for it.
Final rating: 9/10 🖤
Would I reread it? Probably not. 😭
Would I recommend it to younger readers? Absolutely.
