I had so much fun with Here for the Cake that I knew Hard Feelings was going to hit in the best way.

After what would have been the perfect first date for Cecily and Dom ends with Cecily ghosting him, Dom always wonders what could have been. Now, the two have reunited in Vegas to celebrate their mutual best friends' joint bach parties. So of course they walk away married. To make matters more difficulty? Cecily has to bring her husband on a three week road trip with her estranged family.

I love me an accidental wedding. I will eat up the story every single time! Hard Feelings is no different. I liked Cecily and Dom both as individual characters but also as a couple. There is a miscommunication very early on in the book, that I thought was going to annoy me, but the way it's resolved is so well done. The close proximity between Dom and Cecily really pushed this book into the 4 star category. You could feel their tension, and it helped so much that Dom was down bad. The classic "it's always the quiet ones" is perfect for Dom. He was so perfectly nerdy but strong.

What I enjoyed the most in this book was the family dynamics. Cecily's family is a lot to say the least. From her "Savage Grandma" to her over bearing dad, there's quiet literally a lot to unpack. Lot's of the dynamics that her family shares can be relatable for readers. I also really enjoyed that it wasn't just Cecily's family that had problems, but Dom's "vanilla" upbringing as well. Even seemingly good parents can affect how their kids grow up.

Truly SUCH a fun read - perfect if you're looking for something quick and easy.

I love everything about this book. I keep highlighting and bookmarking every page, it is that good. It is funny, warm, good amount of spicy, and a little bit teary at the end but I love it.

This book is more than just a romcom. It’s a little chaotic family drama where it is overlooked in our daily lives. Just because someone chose to stay, doesn’t mean they don’t feel the burden of staying. Just because someone chose to leave, it doesn’t mean they stopped loving.

I love how everything is talked about in this book. What Dom and Cecily went through growing up, what’s going on with Duke, why Savage Grandma did all of that, how important literally one person, a connection between two different entities to mend a cracked relationship. Not gonna lie, it hit something in me.

Overall, I enjoyed this book so much. Their chemistry is off the charts. Their banters are so funny and the depiction of loathe-to-love is so so so spot on!!! You’ll love Dominic Bellinger because he is THAT husband 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🤭
