Habichtshymne

In Habichtshymne, the third volume of Marleen S. Meri's Lieder der Wälder series, the fallen prophet Teannan has returned — no longer a broken figure but a rising power determined to extinguish the forests and remake himself as the new god Daer Awyrs. He holds Severyn's beloved Breya captive, using her as leverage against the very people trying to stop him.

The series is steeped in nature-based paganism and mythological reference, and this installment continues its heavy use of in-world songs and poetry alongside the prose narrative, in an edition built around extensive illustrations.
