Synopsis

Violet Carmine Portocale sees the dead. She blames the old gypsy blood in her family. When her mother is murdered and a stranger arrives to take over the family business, Violet finally starts getting answers, and none of them are comforting.

She is pulled into a world that has run alongside her own for centuries, full of monsters who are neither dead nor entirely human. Four of them, Damien, Vance, Emit and Arion, become her guides. Rules go unexplained, and more than one person around her wants her gone.

The book is reverse harem paranormal romance, told across several points of view. It builds a slow burn between Violet and her four protectors. It moves fast, dropping the reader into arguments and old grudges before the reasons behind them. Dark humor cuts through the violence, and a cliffhanger waits at the end.

It opens All the Pretty Monsters, a six-book series, and was first published in 2019.
