Synopsis

Kaede Otori, recovering from a near-fatal illness, returns to her family's ruined estate to reclaim her inheritance and confront the men who destroyed her father's life. Meanwhile, Takeo, her childhood friend, has been raised by the Tribe — a secretive brotherhood of warriors with their own agenda — and is hunted by the same enemies threatening Kaede. As the two paths converge, a prophecy about Takeo's lineage and the fate of the Otori clan looms over them both, set against a backdrop of betrayal, political intrigue, and the brutal reality of samurai-era Japan.
