Golden Boys
Gabriel, Reese, Sal, and Heath have always had each other. Queer, driven, and a little too big for their small rural town, the four best friends are about to spend the summer before senior year apart for the first time: Gabriel at an environmental nonprofit in Boston, Reese at design school in Paris, Sal interning on Capitol Hill, Heath helping at his aunt's boardwalk arcade in Florida.
Told largely through their texts and video calls, Phil Stamper's Golden Boys follows the four as new places, new crushes, and new versions of themselves start to pull the group in different directions. Warm, funny, and quietly aching, it's a coming-of-age story about ambition and belonging—and about what it means to grow up without growing apart.
